Hanging a fixture where a box already exists is the easy half. What people call us for is the other half: adding a ceiling box to a room that never had one, getting a switch leg to the right wall, or making a sloped ceiling hold a fan without wobble. We do the cutting, the fishing, the mounting and the trim, and the ceiling gets patched around it.

Why fixtures flicker or hum after a swap
Most of the time it is a dimmer built for incandescent lamps trying to run an LED driver. Sometimes it is a shared neutral, or a switch box with no neutral in it for a smart device. Bringing the dimmer and the lamp into the same family cures nearly all of it, and we carry the combinations that work.
Fixtures you bought yourself
We install fixtures you supply. Open the carton before the visit and check that all the mounting hardware is in it, because one missing bracket turns a one-hour install into a return trip. If the fixture is heavier than the existing box is rated for, we fit a brace while we are up there.
Frequently asked questions
Can you add recessed lights without pulling down the ceiling?
In most rooms, yes. Wafer fixtures fit through a small hole and the cable is fished from an existing switch or fixture. Joist direction and insulation decide how many openings it takes.
My new ceiling fan wobbles. Is that the wiring?
No. A wobble is the blades, the balance or the box. A fan needs a box listed for fan support, and a paddle fan on a slope needs an adapter so it hangs plumb.
Why do my LED bulbs flicker on a dimmer?
The dimmer is almost certainly an older one designed for incandescent load. An LED-rated dimmer matched to the fixture stops both the flicker and the buzz.
Can I get a light switch where there is no switch now?
Yes. We either fish a new switch leg down the wall or fit a wireless companion switch where the framing will not allow a fish. We tell you which after looking at the wall.
Do you install smart switches and smart dimmers?
Yes, and the first thing to check is whether there is a neutral in the switch box. Many older boxes carry only a switch leg, which limits which devices will work there.
