Commercial Lighting Upgrades & Repair
Lighting is the upgrade a business notices immediately, on the floor and on the utility bill. Most of the work is converting fluorescent troffers and metal halide high bays to LED, either by retrofitting the existing housings or replacing the fixtures outright. Outside, it is pole lighting, wall packs and the buried circuits that feed them. We phase the work so the building keeps operating.
Retrofit or replace
A retrofit keeps the existing housing and changes the lamps and internal gear. It is quicker, and it makes sense where the fixtures are sound and the layout works. Replacement makes sense where housings are corroded, the lens has yellowed past cleaning, or the spacing was wrong for the room in the first place. We will tell you which one your building is.

Staying open while it happens
Nearly all of this can be done section by section with your doors open, or in a single overnight visit where that is less disruptive. Lot lighting is the exception that works better after dark, because aim and coverage can only be judged with the lights on.
Frequently asked questions
Is an LED retrofit worth doing if the fixtures still work?
Often, yes, because the maintenance goes away as much as the consumption does. Fixtures that need a lift every time a lamp fails make the strongest case for changing them.
Can you replace high bay lights while we stay open?
Yes. We work in sections, keep the lift clear of traffic and coordinate with your floor supervisor. Aisles go dark one at a time rather than the whole building at once.
How often do exit and emergency lights need checking?
They are tested on a regular cycle, and their batteries are consumable. We can check them while we are in for other work and replace the units that no longer hold a test.
Our parking lot has dark spots. Is that a lamp or a wiring fault?
It can be either. A single dark pole is usually a lamp, a driver or a photocell. A group going out together points at the circuit or the buried feed, which is a different job.
Can lighting controls be added to fixtures we already have?
In many cases. Occupancy sensors and timeclocks can be added at the switch or at the panel, and newer fixtures accept dimming control where the wiring runs to them.
